Our Team

Sydnee Ettelson LPC, CADCI

I have been working in the field of mental health for 8 years. During this time I graduated Portland State with a B.S. in psychology and minor child and family services. I continued on with a master program at Grand Canyon University in professional counseling. Throughout my education I worked for community mental health agencies serving diverse populations with severe persistent mental health diagnoses, homelessness, domestic violence, and addiction. My experiences have prepared me to treat trauma, addiction, anxiety, and depression. I moved from community mental health to private practice in 2021 and have focused on acceptance work and trauma with many past clients. I have been providing couples/family therapy since 2021. I currently am a licensed professional counselor and a certified drug and alcohol counselor (CADC I). Aside from individual, couples, family, and group therapy I offer supervision for those seeking licensing with the Oregon board of licensed counselors and therapists.

Patience Rutto, Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate

Over ten years ago I ventured into this field as a behavior technician, working with adolescents with autism spectrum disorder, in private-and-public school settings while pursuing my undergraduate in Social Sciences. Throughout my graduate program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling I worked in community mental health providing services to diverse populations experiencing severe persistent mental illness, chronic conditions, substance use, homelessness, and familial dysfunction. My experience has awarded me the opportunity to offer a unique perspective on therapeutic services in private practice as I aim to create a space where individuals, couples, and families can gain awareness of their own strengths, tools and resources. I enjoy using different modalities to actively engage beyond talk therapy and explore what resonates with you.

Patricia Johnson, Marriage and Family Therapist Associate

I believe that fostering a therapeutic alliance, rooted in acceptance and safety, is paramount while guiding individuals, couples and families in identifying new goals and taking steps toward awareness and healing. Offering services in English and Spanish, I work through an attachment, trauma-informed lens and help individuals explore relational dynamics, patterns and themes to help improve communication and resolve conflict.
