Happy New Year
We often associate New Year resolutions with stopping “bad” habits or starting something new. Both of these are difficult given the way our brain is wired to keep us safe from unknowns and ceasing “bad” habits, that have been self-soothing or rewarding, is difficult.
However, what does work is expansion. Think of one thing you did in the past year, even if it was only once, that brought you contentment or joy. Now, think of expanding on that experience. The reason you want more of it is because that one time felt good or led you closer to the type of life you’d like to be living.
So let’s expand! Let’s build upon what is already there! What will you expand on this year?
